Job summary

Capital Electric, part of the Sonepar group, is hiring an Inside Sales Associate to grow and serve our contractor, government, commercial and industrial customers. This role emphasizes accurate quotations, order management, and proactive sales support.

A strong work ethic and customer-focused approach are essential. The position offers full-time hours in Virginia with salary plus commission potential, and a benefits package including PTO, parental leave, and retirement savings.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 1-2 years counter experience in electrical distribution preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite; Eclipse knowledge a plus.
• Strong math, verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable, responsible and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, accurate project quotations.
• Manage project orders with accuracy.
• Serve diverse customer types: contractor, government, commercial, industrial.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors and customers.
• Set up select customers on blankets.
• Follow up on product deliveries and orders.
• Assist counter with sales support.
• Maintain courtesy and professionalism with customers.
• Prioritize tasks and multitask to complete daily duties.
• Perform other duties as required.
