Job summary

Bay Power Solutions in Central Virginia seeks a detail-oriented Junior Sales & Estimating Associate to support Outside Sales Reps across VA and WV, assist with bid tracking, quotes, and project documentation.

Ideal candidate has 1–3 years in construction or manufacturing, an engineering degree preferred, and strong MS Word/Excel/Adobe skills with clear written and verbal communication to coordinate with engineering firms and customers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
• 1–3 years in construction or manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe.

Responsibilities

• Assist Outside Sales Reps throughout VA and WV.
• Monitor bid boards for generator opportunities.
• Load documentation and create opportunity folders.
• Develop quotes and product pricing as needed.
• Develop cost worksheets and quotes for customer pricing.
• Work closely with Outside Sales Reps during estimating.
• Track opportunities and dispositions to support closing.
• Assist Project Manager in submittal development.
• Provide assistance to VP of Engineering.
• Support design phases with engineering firms and attend seminars.

Seeking a detail-oriented individual with great communication and computer skills to fill our Junior Sales & Estimating Associate role out of the Central Virginia region to report to our Richmond location. Candidates with a passion for engineering and the construction industry.

At Bay Power Solutions, we support and sell Generator Sets for Industrial Power needs in the Mid-Atlantic, serving hospitals, educational facilities, the military, and more. This role requires close interaction with the Power Generation Sales Team, and the ability to maintain an efficient and communicative project workflow for our team and our customers.

DUTIES

• Assisting Outside Sales Reps throughout VA and WV
• Monitor Bid Board Websites for Generator Opportunities
• Load Documentation & Create Opportunity Folders
• Develop Quote Considerations for Sales Representative as needed
• Develop Product Quotes in Pricing System as needed
• Develop Cost Worksheets & Quotes for Customer Pricing as needed
• Work Closely with Outside Sales Reps during Estimating
• Opportunity Tracking for Closing (working closely with Outside Sales Representatives)
• Opportunity Dispositioning
• Assist Project Manager in Submittal Development
• Provide assistance to Vice President of Engineering
• Assist Outside Sales Representatives during Design phase of opportunities for Engineering Firms
• Attend Professional Development Seminars for Engineering Firms
• Shadow Outside Sales Representatives on In Person Sales Calls and Start-up Site Visits
