Job summary

NETZSCH Pumps USA is seeking a mechanically inclined Inside Sales Application Engineer to support Exton, PA operations. Responsibilities include preparing quotations for pumps and systems, entering orders, and coordinating with engineering and manufacturing teams.

The role requires a technical degree with relevant experience, strong communication, and problem-solving abilities. Occasional travel with the Regional Sales Manager is expected to gain exposure to customer applications.

Qualifications

• Technical degree with 2 years of experience as an application engineer in a mechanical field.
• Strong aptitude and/or experience in hydraulic engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical specifications, P&ID, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quotations for pumps, parts, and systems based on technical and commercial specifications.
• Communicate via phone and email with customers, representatives and direct accounts such as OEM's.
• Process orders into the system accurately and support the engineering and operations teams throughout the order entry and manufacturing processes.
• Support manufacturing, engineering and quality control teams on testing activities and when pumps are returned to the factory for repairs.
• Support the regional sales managers with the follow-up process on open quotations.
• Travel with the Regional Sales Manager periodically to become exposed to customers and applications in the various regions.
