Overview
The Inside Sales Administrator provides a variety of administrative support to our sales staff, with a strong attention to detail in an efficient and organized manner. The role assists in the development of project proposals and facilitates the sales process of turnkey power distribution solutions, data center de-commissioning services, and the purchases and sales of generators, switchgear, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and data center precision cooling solutions.
Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- Support data and system entry of project budgets and cost information by obtaining quotes for all products and services required to successfully complete the project in a timely manner.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email. Assist with order tracking, delivery updates, and post-sale follow up.
- Schedule meetings, product demos, or calls between the Sales team and clients.
- Formalize project proposals by formatting, editing, and ensuring proposals are neat, accurate, and complete.
- Coordinate completion and distribution of weekly and monthly sales forecasts and reports.
- Support the maintenance and accuracy of Salesforce CRM data.
- Support new client setups and new vendor onboarding with accounting and other internal departments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge / Experience / Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in electrical design or electrical engineering preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
- 2 years of industry experience, working with switchgear, switchboards, PDUs, UPS, batteries, or power generation.
- Ability to handle highly confidential material and maintain data confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple customers simultaneously in a busy environment.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain data integrity and confidentiality.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to stay current with emerging office technologies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including technical writing ability to convey complex specifications clearly.
- Ability to shift between tasks without losing continuity and meet required deadlines; capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- FLSA executive and professional positions paid on a salary basis; project requirements and tight deadlines may require longer hours, including weekends or holidays.
- Office setting with frequent visits to the production floor to oversee operations, ensure compliance and safety, and engage staff.
- Mobility: ability to move around the manufacturing plant (walking, standing, climbing stairs).
- Manual dexterity: occasional handling of objects, tools, or controls.
- Lifting: ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds, with lifting conducted in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Visual and auditory requirements: ability to see and hear adequately to navigate the plant safely and communicate with team members.
