Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking a Power Systems Applications Controls Engineer to support the national sales team for data centers. The role requires deep experience with low/medium/high voltage equipment, transformers, controls, and monitoring, and involves preparing electrical proposals from inception to approval, delivering technical presentations, and supporting field service.

The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams, manage project plans and risks, and build strong relationships

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field (huge plus).
5–10 years of consultative / data center solutions and product power applications experience (UPS, generators, PDUs, etc.).
Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and mission-critical environments.
Ability to read electrical schematics and specifications.
Experience presenting technical solutions and leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Review RFQ/RFP requirements and develop compliant proposals including pricing, BOMs, drawings, and schedules.
Lead technical discussions during quotation reviews and client meetings.
Support sales with technical expertise to close business and assist field service.
Develop and maintain relationships with customers, consultants, and vendors to generate opportunities.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure on-time and on-budget project delivery.
