Job summary

Eckart LLC is seeking an Inside Sales Associate to support customer inquiries, process orders, and upsell products. This role emphasizes strong communication, relationship-building, and detailed product knowledge to ensure smooth sales workflows.

The position requires organizational skills, teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple customers while maintaining accurate records and timely follow-up on quotes and orders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two years sales experience (counter sales, inside sales or outside sales)
• Post-Secondary courses in Electrical preferred
• Knowledge of the electrical industry or related products is a plus

Responsibilities

• Responding to inquiries and processing incoming calls and orders
• Contacting current customers and identifying new products and potential up-selling
• Entering orders into the system
• Sourcing materials for customers when not in stock
• Maintaining knowledge base on current products and learning about new products
• Providing product information, pricing quotations, and follow-up on quotes
• Developing and maintaining positive customer relationships
• Ensuring customers are satisfied with order taking, product, pricing, deliveries, and service
• Supporting Counter Sales and handling returns as required
• Working closely with others to meet customer needs
• Other duties as assigned

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position may be required to perform additional tasks, responsibilities, or duties as assigned:

• Minimum of two years’ sales experience (counter sales, inside sales or outside sales) required
• Post-Secondary courses in Electrical preferred
• Skilled in serving and negotiating with institutional and industrial purchasers, electrical contractors, and the public
• Knowledge of the electrical industry or a background in electrical products would be considered an asset, including - lighting, wiring devices, distribution, and motor control
