Job summary

Ziegler CAT is seeking an Inside Rental Sales Representative to drive outbound prospecting and customer growth in the rental team. You will coordinate quotes, contracts, and service with operations while supporting territory expansion and customer satisfaction.

The role emphasizes strong communication, multi-tasking, and teamwork to meet daily targets and maintain relationships with customers across our Iowa locations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in sales, customer service, or equipment rental preferred.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer knowledge and ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Personal characteristics: customer service oriented, planning/organization, problem solving, collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Contact prospective customers through outbound calling to meet daily/weekly/monthly goals.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms.
• Prepare, present, and follow up on rental quotes, contracts, and certificates of insurance.
• Maintain accurate records of customer information, leads, activities and rental transactions in CRM (SalesLink).
• Collaborate with outside sales reps to support territory growth goals.
• Coordinate equipment availability and delivery schedules with operations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Assist in resolving customer issues and ensuring satisfaction throughout the rental process.
• Stay informed about product offerings, pricing, and industry trends.
• Promote the company vision, mission, and values.

Ziegler CAT has an opening for a motivated self-starter that is customer-driven for our Inside Rental Sales Representative position and join our Ziegler Rental Services equipment rental team. This role will partner with the sales team to grow existing customer accounts, facilitate lead generation, and qualify leads generated through proactive outbound calling on prospect customers and other indirect channels. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, with a winning attitude and has a passion for helping customers find the right equipment and offering solutions for their challenging applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contact prospective customers through outbound calling to meet daily/weekly/monthly goals.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms.
• Complete all required sales documents including preparing, presenting, and following up on rental quotes, contracts, and certificates of insurance.
• Conduct proactive account management on assigned accounts by maintaining accurate records of customer information, leads, activities and rental transactions in CRM systems (SalesLink).
• Collaborate with outside sales representatives to support territory growth goals.
• Work with operations to coordinate equipment availability and delivery schedules.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Assist in resolving customer issues and ensuring satisfaction throughout the rental process.
• Stay informed about product offerings, pricing, and industry trends.

The total compensation range (hourly pay plus incentive) for this position is $49,900 – $73,900

Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, and education. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
