Job summary

Ziegler Cat is seeking a full-time Inside Parts Sales Person to support customers with expert parts guidance and efficient order processing at our Minnesota location. You will help customers select parts, check availability, and coordinate shipping to ensure timely delivery.

Key duties include handling quotes, processing orders, and collaborating with multiple departments to resolve issues. A strong service mindset and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year degree preferred.
• 2+ years in diesel engine, construction or agriculture equipment, or automotive parts or service.
• Up to 4 years of experience preferred.
• Positive attitude and desire to work as a team player.
• Basic computer skills (navigation, searching) and Microsoft Outlook (email).
• Basic telephone experience.
• Basic customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service face-to-face or over the telephone.
• Help customers determine correct parts, verify availability, and make recommendations.
• Determine correct parts and availability, and complete orders.
• Determine supplying facility and transportation for parts shipment.
• Enter shipping info to processing system and generate invoices.
• Process backorders, returns and exchanges.
• Assist team with group and team sales and coordinate between departments.
• Communicate with customers for sales, follow-ups, and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with team and supervisors as needed.
• Prepare quotes for service work and customers.
• Assist customers with issues by taking action, offering alternatives, or escalating.
• Maintain a safe, productive workplace in line with environmental standards.

Ziegler Cat has an opening for a full-time Inside Parts Sales Person to serve our customers. We are looking for a dedicated employee with a strong work ethic and excellent organizational, customer service, and communication skills to help support our growth.

Responsibilities

• Provides superior customer service face-to-face or over the telephone to customers
• Helps customers determine correct parts needed, verify availability, and make recommendations
• Determines the correct parts and their availability, and completes parts orders
• Determines the supplying facility and mode of transportation for parts shipment
• Enters proper shipping information into the parts ordering system to process the order and generate an invoice
• Processes backorders, returns, and exchanges
• Assists their team with group and team sales, providing a link and collaboration between different departments during the sales process
• Communicates with customers for sales, follow‑ups, and addressing potential issues
• Works in a cooperative manner with team and superiors
• Prepares parts quotes for service work, and customers.
• Assists customers with basic issues or concerns by taking action, providing alternatives, or escalating the issue to the more experienced team member
• Maintains a safe and productive workplace, keeping in mind the specific environmental standards of the department

The pay range for this position

$23.29 to $27.91

Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant’s location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
