Job summary

General Equipment seeks an Inside Parts Sales Representative who uses product knowledge and strong customer service to satisfy parts needs and secure orders. You’ll support field staff and collaborate with product managers, inventory control and service personnel to build knowledge through training opportunities.

You will assist in procuring, filling customer orders, stocking and receiving parts, and engage with vendors in the Fargo area to keep parts flowing safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Experience in parts sales in a retail environment.
• Experience in heavy equipment/construction industry preferred.
• Computer skills: ability to navigate through many vendor sites and processes.
• Basic understanding of spreadsheets, databases, and word processing applications.
• Excellent customer service skills, written and verbal.
• Requires a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls from customers and field employees.
• Assist in procurement, filling orders, stocking and receiving parts.
• Proficiency in online supplier parts systems to look up and order parts.
• Build knowledge of product lines, service standards and procedures.
• Acquire parts from vendors in the Fargo area safely and professionally.
• Assist in data collection for inventory decisions with Parts Manager.
• Attend local, regional and national parts training seminars.
• Maintain positive relationships with service and admin departments.
• May perform other duties as directed by Parts Manager and Branch Management.
