Job summary

Indy Equipment & Supply is seeking an ambitious Inside/Counter Sales specialist for our Independence, OH store. The role focuses on answering sales calls, assisting customers, taking orders, and maintaining showroom readiness.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED with 1–2 years related experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 90 lbs. Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–2 years related experience or equivalent
• Ability to input orders in sales order database and learn computer software
• Strong verbal communication and customer-facing skills
• Ability to lift up to 90 lbs and perform basic math for discounts and quantities

Responsibilities

• Answer sales calls and greet customers in store, taking orders and answering questions
• Process and monitor will calls, special orders, backorders, fabrication orders, truck orders, drop ships, and quotes
• Maintain store appearance and restock/showroom; ensure safety and order
• Maintain product knowledge and provide accurate product specs, pricing, and availability
• Perform other duties as assigned
