Job summary

EPB in Chattanooga, TN is seeking an Inside Business Sales Representative to handle transactional, incoming phone sales and process post-sale order entries for Commercial Fiber Optics Customers. This role serves as Tier 1 support for fiber optic customers, addressing simple billing or service questions and escalating when needed.

The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of experience in customer service or sales, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to multitask while updating

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent with 2-5 years of desired experience in customer service, sales, and/or training.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of telecommunications and internet services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Solicit new sales via phone and close on sales of additional or new services to Commercial customers eligible for Fiber Optics services with <$300 in potential monthly billing.
• Make suggestive revenue-producing changes with all existing customers who call for customer service.
• Initiate orders for providing services and manage and coordinate as needed through installation.
• Complete contracts and forms for requested services.
• Answer and respond to various customer calls and requests—research questions concerning billing and service, along with outbound and inbound account management.
• Provide support functions for all sales activities.
• Update databases with pertinent information.
• Work on special projects.

• Possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in state of residence and demonstrate safe and responsible operation of motor vehicles.

• Intermediate to advanced PC skills necessary.
• Ability to multitask.
