Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a mail production operator in Troy, MI to handle daily operations from machine calibration to prep for morning distribution. Ideal candidates have inserter experience and a background in manufacturing or distribution, with a strong ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities include loading materials, folding, inserting, sealing, and updating the tracking system. The role requires a High School diploma and 1+ year of relevant experience; USPS knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• 1+ years of experience operating a mechanical inserter within a mail production facility.
• Understanding of USPS postal regulations (Strongly Preferred).
• Background in digital print, mailing, distribution, or a general manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated punctuality, reliability, and a willingness to learn new processes.
• Commitment to taking direction and producing high-quality work over high-quantity output.

• Load printed materials into machines that accurately fold, insert, and seal documents.
• Transfer sealed documents into mail trays, apply protective sleeves, and stack trays neatly on skids.
• Update the internal tracking system to accurately mark each job as completed.
• Shrink-wrap completed skids at the end of the shift to prepare for the following morning's pick-up.
• Collaborate with the wider team to align on daily production priorities and goals.
