Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks an experienced Inpatient Wound Care RN for day shift, full-time. The nurse provides comprehensive care to acutely ill patients, coordinates with the care team, and documents outcomes. BSN is preferred; an Illinois RN license and BLS are required.

ADN holders may apply if they commit to obtaining a BSN within three years. The role participates in governance and uses evidence to guide practice.

Qualifications

• BSN required; Illinois RN license
• BLS certification required
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Analytical abilities and judgment important
• ADN accepted if pursuing BSN within 3 years

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for acutely ill patients using the nursing process
• Coordinate care with patient, family, physicians, and health team
• Document plan of care and patient responses
• Participate in governance, committees, and unit projects
• Utilize evidence to guide practice decisions
