Job summary

Mercy Health in Boardman, OH is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Inpatient Wound Care at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital. This full-time day position offers a 32-hour work week and a 8:00 am – 4:30 pm schedule.

The RN will assess wounds, develop and implement care plans, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, administer medications, document care, and uphold safety standards. Required WOCN cert within 3 years.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure is required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• WOCN WWC wound care certification required within 3 years of hire.
• Recent RN experience in acute care and wound care is required.
• Two years wound care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Collect vital signs, administer IV meds, chart appropriately and assess patient condition.
• Assess, stage, photograph and measure wounds per policy.
• Update and revise the plan of care to achieve outcomes.
• Administer medications safely according to state practice and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
