Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Wound Care team in Chicago, IL. The RN will provide specialized wound care, promote evidence-based practices, and support patient outcomes through interdisciplinary collaboration.

Requirements include active IL RN license, BLS on hire, acute care experience, and wound care knowledge or certification within the first year.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Illinois.
• Current BLS CPR on hire.
• Experience in acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Wound care knowledge/experience preferred (1 year).
• Wound care certification within first year of hire.
• WOC or WCC board certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient wound and skin care per physician orders.
• Assess skin, monitor wounds, and implement dressing changes.
• Lead HAPI prevention and offloading per orders.
• Educate bedside staff on wound care and prevention.
• Coordinate monthly wound care committee meetings.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses on treatment plans.
