The Inpatient Wound Care and Ostomy Nurse at Healogics will provide clinical evaluation and patient care for wound and ostomy patients, under the direction of the Inpatient Nurse Manager, with potential nursing support for the outpatient Wound Care Center.
The role requires ADN/BSN, RN license, BLS, 1 year wound care/acute care experience, and certification preferred; you will contribute to discharge planning and ongoing staff education.
The rewards at Healogics are immense, starting with the important work we do to change patients’ lives. We also understand that meaningful work is hard work, and we are committed to supporting and compensating our employees for the tremendous service they provide. Healogics is the largest provider of advanced wound care services in the United States, treating more than 300,000 chronic wound patients annually across over 600 sites. With an aging society, obesity and diabetes on the rise, and an uptick in surgical procedures, the number of patients with non‑healing wounds that would benefit from expert care is dramatically increasing. As a result, the company is working to provide our differentiated, quality outcomes to as many patients that would benefit through our out‑patient clinic partnerships.
Under the direction of the Inpatient Nurse Manager, the Inpatient Wound Care and Ostomy Nurse will primarily provide clinical evaluation, patient care, and collaborate with the attending provider in the development of the initial plan of care for inpatient wound and ostomy services. Additionally, the individual will provide nursing support to the outpatient Wound Care Center (WCC)®, if needed. The Wound Care and Ostomy Nurse will report to the Inpatient Nurse Manager, as well as maintaining a dotted line reporting structure to the Market Director with Healogics. The responsibility and accountability for day‑to‑day patient care will continue to rest with the individual nurse responsible for the patient.
All Healogics employees must perform their job responsibilities according to all Healogics policies, Hospital policies, as well as to accrediting organizations, federal and state regulation, and to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines, as applicable.
Healogics is driving wound healing and prevention forward to help heal more wounds and change more lives. Our compassionate wound specialists have touched the lives of more than 2.5 million people, preserving dignity and restoring hope. The impact of healing wounds through innovative care resonates with our wound care doctors, nurses and other specialists who witness lives changed and build strong relationships with patients and their families.
