Join to apply for the INPATIENT THERAPIST (LICENSED) - PRN role at West Oaks Hospital.

West Oaks Hospital has provided psychiatric care to the Houston area and surrounding communities for over four decades. Our 176-bed acute care facility is fully accredited and includes a 16-bed residential treatment center for adult chemical dependency. We offer a broad range of behavioral health programs for children, adolescents, and adults, at multiple levels of care including inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient. We are available 24/7 to assist with treatment options and insurance coverage. The hospital is easily accessible off the Southwest Freeway near the Galleria.

Responsibilities

• Complete psychosocial assessments, treatment plan reviews, individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy sessions within established timeframes, either face-to-face or telephonically, with all patients, families, and significant others.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, RNs, Care Managers, and other healthcare team members in crisis intervention, creating behavioral plans, case conferences, client-centered interventions, and discharge planning.
• Conduct assigned therapeutic groups and provide comprehensive education, instructions, and advocacy information to assist patients and significant others in identifying and securing needed healthcare follow-up services.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Human Services related field; preferred: Master’s in Social Work.
• Licensure: LPC, LPC-A, LMFT, or LMSW; CPR and hospital de-escalation certifications.
• One to three years of clinical experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
