Position: Inpatient Physical Therapist-PRN

We are searching for an Inpatient Physical Therapist who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will plan, evaluate, organize, and implement Physical Therapy (PT) treatment programs in a developmentally and age-appropriate manner for patients from 0 years to adulthood.

Areas of coverage include:

  • Acute Care
  • ICU
  • PICU
  • TICU
  • ACHD
  • CVICU
  • Pavilion - Post-Op

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Complete patient evaluations and reassessments according to hospital and department guidelines.
  • Develop individualized care plans based on evaluation findings.
  • Provide clinical support to outpatient clinics or specialty programs.
  • Mentor less experienced staff in your area of specialty.
  • Document patient information accurately in Electronic Medical Records, with no more than six errors per year.
  • Serve as a clinical instructor for at least one professional student annually.
  • Report unsafe situations, injuries, or unusual circumstances to management.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement activities.

All candidates must undergo respiratory fit testing as part of workplace safety protocols.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Degree in Physical Therapy required.
  • PT certification from the state of Texas required.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association preferred.
  • 2 years of clinical experience or 1-year medical residency preferred.
