Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in California's Sacramento area seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to provide services under supervision. You will participate in in-service education, mentoring, and clinical training, and contribute to performance improvement and new practice models.

The role requires a California SLP license, CCC, and at least two years of post-certification experience; ASHA certification preferred. Per diem, onsite at the hospital in Sacramento, with compensation listed below.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited speech-language pathology curriculum with certification.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Speech Language Pathologist after attaining CCC.
• California SLP license required at hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) required at hire.
• Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology Certificate (ASHA CCC) required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides speech therapy services for patients under direction and supervision.
• Assumes responsibilities outlined in the Speech Therapists I job summary.
• Provides department in-service and clinical training as requested by management.
• Serves as clinical instructor and mentors staff as needed.
• Provides consultation to staff and identifies process improvement opportunities.
• Participates in performance improvement projects and committees.
• Monitors work of contract therapists and treatment of patients in Kaiser and non-Kaiser facilities.
• Performs other duties as required within scope of practice.
