Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a PRN Speech Language Pathologist for inpatient rehab services at Bell Hospital. The clinician evaluates patients, designs goal-directed interventions, and monitors progress within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, documenting per KSHA and ASHA guidelines, and supporting department education and student supervision. Licensure in KS/MO or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Communication Disorders from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in KS/MO, with licensure in other states as applicable.
• Proven ability to design and implement goal-directed interventions for cognitive, swallow, and communication goals.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Document clearly in compliance with KSHA/ASHA guidelines and payer requirements.
• Demonstrate professional behavior and collaboration with the care team.
• Provide supervision to rehabilitation technicians and contribute to education for staff and students.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and departmental policies.
