Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for North Kansas City Hospital's ARU. This PRN position offers a fast-paced, collaborative team in NKC’s 48-bed rehab unit.

You'll assess and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders, develop patient-centered plans, educate families, document progress, and coordinate with the care team. CPR certification is required, ASHA-credentialed clinicians preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Current SLP license and ASHA certification are required.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience in acute or rehab setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy goals.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams on care coordination.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
