Job summary

METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER in Ohio is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support specialty and inpatient pharmacies. You will assist pharmacists, deliver medication-related services to patients, and participate in quality control of drug distribution technologies.

The role requires HS diploma, age 18+, and active or soon-to-be PT/ExCPT certification with Ohio Board registration. Travel to satellite locations may be required, with emphasis on teamwork and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
• 18 years of age or older with no felony convictions as per Ohio law.
• Must obtain and maintain one of the listed Pharmacy Technician certifications (PTCB or ExCPT) within 90 days of hire.
• Possess/maintain active registration with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy as a Certified or Registered Pharmacy Technician.
• Willingness and ability to travel to external satellite locations.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, performs duties in the delivery of pharmaceutical care in specialty and inpatient pharmacies.
• Delivers medication related services to in-house patients and take-home medications.
• Assists Pharmacists with quality control procedures for drug distribution technologies.
