Job summary

Havenwyck Hospital in Auburn Hills, Michigan, a UHS facility, seeks a licensed Social Worker to join our inpatient team. The Social Worker provides social services to inpatients and day patients, participates on the multidisciplinary team, and conducts discharge planning and therapy as needed.

Qualifications

• Master of Social Work degree from a school of Social Work accredited by the CSWE.
• Current Licensure in Michigan as LMSW/LLMSW/LPC or LLC.
• Inpatient psychiatric unit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates as an integral professional member of a multidisciplinary treatment team led by the psychiatrist.
• Facilitates the therapeutic milieu on the treatment unit.
• Performs social work interventions as directed by the treatment team and treating psychiatrist.
• Obtains and assesses social history information and reports to treatment teams.
• Performs discharge planning/case management from admission.
• Provides individual, group, family therapy and related services as deemed appropriate.
