Job summary

Bowen Health is seeking a Safety Coordinator to oversee environmental safety, infection prevention, de-escalation, and emergency management at the Psychiatrist Hospital and Crisis Services. The role includes safety rounds, staff coaching, CPI/BLS training, and incident analysis.

The position requires flexible scheduling, including nights and weekends, and collaboration with Facilities and contracted providers to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma required.
• Certificate or Professional License: Healthcare Environmental Services training preferred.
• CPI certification must be obtained after hire and maintained.
• BLS and First Aid certification must be obtained after hire and maintained.
• Valid driver’s license and active liability insurance.
• Criminal and driving record background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine rounds of environmental care and safety.
• Educate and coach staff in de-escalation techniques.
• Provide CPI training to staff.
• Manage supply inventory and ordering.
• Coordinate maintenance requests and communicate updates to leadership.
• Support debrief and analysis of incidents causing property damage or injuries.
• Liaise with Facilities and contracted service providers.
