Job summary

Penn State Health is seeking an RN Registered Nurse for the Spring Ridge Wound Care team at St. Joseph Medical Center. The inpatient RN will assess health problems, develop and implement care plans, maintain detailed medical records, and administer medications while monitoring patient conditions.

A sign-on bonus and tuition discount program are offered. Minimum qualifications include an active RN license and BLS certification; other duties include patient education and coordination of care

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the Interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
• AHA BLS certification required prior to end of orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and needs and develop nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients.
• Advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention; monitor for reactions and side effects.
