Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an experienced Staff Nurse Inpatient for the CDH Surgical Care Center (2 B/C), a 49-bed unit caring for post-surgical and general/ortho patients. The role requires a BSN, IL RN license, and BLS; ADN with commitment to BSN is acceptable.

Expect rotating weekends and full-time daytime hours. You will collect data, plan individualized care, coordinate with the health team, and participate in governance activities while ensuring high patient satisfaction and

Qualifications

Required: BSN, IL RN license, BLS certification.
One year's experience in a clinical nursing role preferred.
Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within three years.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others.

Responsibilities

Collects and analyzes data, identifies outcomes, plans individualized care, and evaluates progress.
Directs care and coordinates with any assistants involved in patient care.
Collaborates with patient, family, physicians, and staff to create a documented care plan.
Participates in shared governance, committees, and unit projects.
Evaluates patient responses and documents nursing interventions in the health record.
Uses evidence to guide practice decisions.
