Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Part-time Staff Nurse Inpatient for the CDH Med/Surg Intermediate unit (3C) in Illinois. The role involves providing expert nursing care to acutely ill patients, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team, and participating in shared governance.

You will need a BSN, an Illinois RN license, and BLS certification, with ADN acceptable if you commit to obtaining a BSN within three years.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others.
• Strong analytic abilities.
• ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years.

Responsabilités

• Collects and analyzes data, identifies expected outcomes, develops and implements an individualized plan, coordinates care delivery and evaluates progress toward attainment of outcomes.
• Directs care and determines the appropriate utilization of any assistant involved in providing direct patient care.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and ancillary staff, creating a documented plan focused on outcomes and communication.
• Participates in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects.
• Evaluates and documents patient responses to nursing interventions in the health record and adjusts the plan of care accordingly.
• Utilizes evidence and research findings to guide practice decisions.
