Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Part-time Registered Nurse for the Surgical Care Center in Winfield, IL. The role involves day shifts with a 24 hour per week schedule (0.6 FTE) at the CDH Surgical Care Center.

You will provide nursing care to post-surgical patients, with a focus on orthopedic and general surgeries, in a patient-first environment. The ideal candidate holds a BSN, an Illinois RN license, and BLS certification; ADN with commitment to BSN within three years is acceptable.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Licensed RN in Illinois.
• BLS certification required.
• One year of pertinent clinical experience preferred.
• Associate Degree Nursing acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within three years.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, identifies expected outcomes, and plans individualized care.
• Directs care and utilizes assistants as appropriate.
• Collaborates with patients, families, physicians and staff with documented plans.
• Participates in shared governance and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses and adjusts care plans based on findings.
• Uses current evidence to guide nursing practice.
