Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Shreveport is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary care for our patient population. The role includes phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing, with equipment maintenance responsibilities.

Candidates must have state licensure to practice respiratory care, current BLS and ACLS, and ideally one year of inpatient respiratory experience; Nevada blood gas licensure applies if relevant.

Qualifications

• Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care.
• Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada.
• For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required, preferably an associate degree.
• Minimum of one-year clinical respiratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) performs routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals and maintains all equipment in working order.
• Provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for the patient population as required or requested.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
