Qualifications

• Education: High school or equivalent required; must be actively participating and enrolled in a BMC approved college-level co-op program.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain certification prior to hire.

Responsabilités

• Learns and assists in patient treatment including basic therapeutic procedures/exercise, patient positioning, bed mobility, transfers, ambulation, gait training, and application of modalities.
• Assists with exercise classes.
• If enrolled in PT program, can provide patient treatments when deemed competent both in coursework completion and via therapist sign off on BMC competency.
• Documents patient care activities as applicable based on their educational curriculum.
• Keeps therapist informed of changes in patient status and participates in determining completion timing of treatments.
• Communicates with nursing and medical staff on patient status.
• Interacts with patients aligning with hospital customer service standards (AIDET).
• Assists in daily tasks of clinicians and front desk operations to optimize patient experience.
• Sets up and cleans patient areas and equipment; maintains treatment areas and supplies.
• Attends in-services and staff meetings; learns about new equipment, procedures, and programs.
• Performs other administrative duties including photocopying, faxing, printing, data entry in Word/Excel, and general errands.
