Job summary

Advocate Health in Illinois is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate patients, develop care plans, and provide therapy as prescribed by a licensed physician.

The SLP will supervise support staff, ensure accurate documentation, and participate in CQI activities while upholding infection control and safety standards.

CFY will be considered; Georgia SLPT license required. The role is in a hospital inpatient rehabilitation setting with day shift duties.

Qualifications

• Licensure as Speech Language Pathologist (Georgia).
• Education level as required by license.
• CFY will be considered.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, time management, flexibility and dependability.

Responsibilities

• Patient Assessments / Reassessments and develop effective treatment plans.
• Care planning and interdisciplinary communication.
• Document patient outcomes at initial and discharge evaluations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of speech therapy modalities and treatments.
• Operate equipment safely and correctly for therapy services.
• Formulate and deliver patient education, involving family when appropriate.
• Documentation meets current standards and is timely.
