Job summary

Boston Medical Center Staff Physical Therapist in Inpatient Rehab Therapies conducts comprehensive assessments of inpatients and outpatients, planning and implementing individual and group PT treatments to promote mobility, reduce pain, and restore independence. Collaboration with other disciplines supports return to home and work environments.

Per diem, days schedule with student training and CE participation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• MA license by start date; BLS certification required; APTA/MCAPTA membership preferred.
• 2+ years inpatient acute care experience encouraged for per diem roles.

Responsibilities

• Conducts physical therapy evaluation procedures according to professional and departmental guidelines.
• Establishes treatment goals reflecting patient needs while meeting departmental and third-party requirements.
• Implements comprehensive individual and group treatment; demonstrates clinical competence.
• Complies with departmental, institutional, and accrediting agency policies and standards.
• Shows ongoing professional growth and knowledge of regulations and standards.
• Participates in development and evaluation of physical therapy programs.
• Collaborates with colleagues and other professionals to provide high quality patient care.
