Mercy Health – St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, OH is seeking a Patient Care Technician for Inpatient Rehab. The role provides basic patient care under RN guidance, including vital signs, personal care, feeding, and mobility assistance.

You will collaborate with nursing staff, document care, and participate in hand-offs. Prior acute care or long-term care experience helps; BLS is preferred and nursing aide training or STNA/CNA credentials may be required.

Formación

• BLS Basic Life Support preferred; must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care.
• Completion of nursing aide training program or STNA/CNA or nursing program with clinical rotation, or 1 year of clinical experience.
• Recent experience in acute care, physician's office, home health/hospice, or long-term care preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provides basic patient care including comfort, hygiene, and mobility assistance.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes and concerns.
• Delivers high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Documents patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participates in shift hand-offs and pertinent information reports.
• Performs delegated tasks once competency is validated.
• Assists with safe patient transfers using proper techniques.
• Individualizes care based on patient interests and needs.
