Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for St. Rita's Medical Center in Ohio. The role provides basic patient care under RN supervision, including hygiene, mobility assistance and vital signs.

Qualifications

• Completion of nursing aide training program OR STNA/CA certification required (OH LTC may require STNA).
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred upon hire; must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care.
• Recent experience in acute care, home health/hospice, or long-term care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including comfort, hygiene and mobility support.
• Monitor patient health and vital signs and report changes to RN.
• Document patient care accurately and promptly in the EHR.
• Assist with activities of daily living and ensure patient safety.
