Mercy Health in Lima, OH is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the Inpatient Rehab unit at St. Rita's Medical Center. The role provides essential patient care under RN supervision, including basic monitoring, hygiene, feeding assistance, and mobility support.

The position emphasizes teamwork, precise documentation, and compassionate communication with patients and families. Prior nursing aide training or STNA/CNA experience is valued, with BLS preferred.

Qualificações

• BLS Basic Life Support is preferred upon hire and must be obtained before direct patient care.
• Successful completion of a nursing aide training program OR STNA/CNA OR related nursing program with clinical rotation OR 1 year of relevant clinical experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provide basic patient care including comfort, vital signs, personal care and mobility assistance.
• Liaise between patient and nurse to report changes or concerns.
• Deliver high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in hand-off reporting and care coordination on arrival and departure.
• Perform delegated tasks once competency is validated.
• Mobilize patients using therapeutic techniques to promote safety and independence.
• Encourage patient independence and tailor care to patient interests.
