Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for St. Rita's Medical Center Inpatient Rehab on the 8K unit. This full-time day role involves assisting with basic patient care, vital signs, personal care, and mobility under RN supervision.

The PCT provides compassionate support to patients and families and maintains clear documentation of care. The position requires BLS (preferred at hire) and completion of a nursing aide program or equivalent training.

Qualifications

• High-quality communication with patients, families and staff.
• Ability to report changes to nursing staff promptly.
• Adaptability in a fast-changing clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Monitor patient vitals and health status; report changes to RN.
• Assist with mobility and personal care as directed by staff.
• Document care accurately in the EHR where applicable.
• Support hand-off communication between caregivers at shift change.
