Qualifications

• MD or DO with Board Certification/Eligibility in Internal Medicine.
• Eligible for licensure in Massachusetts.
• Inpatient or hospitalist experience preferred.
• Interest in rehabilitation care and working in an interdisciplinary setting.
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as attending physician for 12-16 medically complex inpatient rehabilitation patients.
• Provide medical management including daily rounding, admissions H&Ps, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation team to support care planning and discharge readiness.
• Respond to Rapid Response activations and medical codes.
• Participate in call rotation, including weekends (typically 1:8).
• Attend staff meetings and engage in hospital administrative activities as assigned.
• Optional opportunity to receive training in rehabilitation medicine.
• Average 1-2 admissions per day.
