Massachusetts General Hospital's Spaulding Cape Cod team seeks a Board-Certified/Eligible Internal Medicine physician to join inpatient rehabilitation as the attending physician. This community-based role focuses on direct patient care in collaboration with physiatrists, therapists, nurses, and case managers.

The physician will manage 12–16 inpatients, with daily rounds, admission H&Ps, progress notes, and discharge planning, averaging 1–2 admissions per day.

Qualifikationen

• MD or DO with Board Certification/Eligibility in Internal Medicine.
• Eligible for licensure in Massachusetts.
• Inpatient or hospitalist experience preferred.
• Interest in rehabilitation care or interdisciplinary setting.
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and team collaboration skills.

Aufgaben

• Serve as attending physician for 12-16 medically complex inpatient rehabilitation patients.
• Provide medical management with daily rounding, admission H&Ps, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Average 1–2 admissions per day.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to support care planning and discharge readiness.
• Respond to Rapid Response Team activations and medical codes.
• Participate in the call rotation, including weekends (typically 1:8).
• Attend staff meetings and engage in hospital admin activities.
• Optional opportunity to receive training in rehabilitation medicine.
