Job summary

Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Cape Cod in Sandwich, MA, seeks a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Internal Medicine physician to join the inpatient rehabilitation team as attending physician. You will work closely with physiatrists, nurses, therapists, and case managers to manage medical needs throughout patient rehab stays.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with Board Certification/Eligibility in Internal Medicine.
• Eligible for licensure in Massachusetts.
• Inpatient or hospitalist experience preferred.
• Interest in rehabilitation care and interdisciplinary teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the attending physician for 12-16 medically complex inpatient rehabilitation patients.
• Provide medical management with daily rounds, H&Ps, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Collaborate with physiatry, nursing, therapists, and case managers for care planning.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and support discharge readiness.
• Respond to rapid response activations and medical codes; participate in call rotation.
