Job summary

Navos Behavioral Health, part of MultiCare, seeks a Mental Health Technician to join a collaborative clinical team in Seattle. You will help provide a safe, supportive environment for psychiatric patients and assist with basic patient care and recovery needs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a human services field or equivalent experience, CNA/NAR, and relevant certifications (BLS/CPR, First Aid, Food Handler). You’ll join a mission-driven team with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or 1 year of related experience.
• Must obtain a Nursing Assistant Registered (NAR/CNA) before start date.
• BLS/CPR and First Aid required before starting; Food Handler's Card within two weeks.
• ACCR credential must be applied for within 30 days of hire; DOH timelines apply.
• Credential timing may be waived temporarily with NAR duties in interim.

Responsibilities

• Support the unit with patient service and clinic management assistance.
• Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, front office, and clinic management.
• Perform functions requiring knowledge and integration of standards, resources, and data.
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting autonomy, dignity, and health.
• Maintain a safe environment by observing patient behavior and documenting concerns.
• Provide and document interventions matched to each patient’s needs.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or any other human services field preferred

Nursing Assistant Registered or CNA

Washington State ACCR credential
