Job summary

Navos Behavioral Health, part of MultiCare, seeks a Mental Health Technician to support a collaborative interdisciplinary treatment team. You will help provide a safe, therapeutic environment and assist with basic patient care and recovery needs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field, and CNA/BLS/CPR credentials per assignment. Additional certifications may be needed before start. Navos emphasizes compassionate care and community support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or any other human services field preferred.
• Must obtain a Nursing Assistant Registered or CNA prior to start date.
• BLS certification required if Navos Hospital assignment; CPR required for other campuses.
• First Aid training required for Navos Hospital.
• Food Handler's Card required within first two weeks.
• ACCR credential must be applied for within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Support the unit through excellent patient customer service and clinic management assistance.
• Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, front office staff and clinic management to ensure comprehensive health care outcomes.
• Perform a variety of functions within the clinic setting requiring specialized knowledge and integration of available standards, resources, and data.
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
• Assist with maintaining a safe and hazard free environment by observing and documenting patient behavior, conducting patient room searches, reporting unsafe conditions and applying appropriate emotional and physical support.
• Provide and document interventions in a variety of modalities individually matched to the needs of each patient.
