Job summary

Navos Behavioral Health in Seattle, WA is hiring a Mental Health Technician (0.8 FTE, Days) to support a psychiatric treatment team and provide safe, therapeutic care.

Requirements include a relevant Bachelor’s degree or 1 year of experience, CNA/NAR credential before start, and CPR/First Aid and Food Handler cards as required. ACCR credential must be pursued; join us to help patients regain independence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or related human services field preferred or 1 year of related experience.
• Must obtain Nursing Assistant Registered (NAR) or CNA prior to start date.
• BLS if Navos Hospital; CPR required on other campuses prior to starting on the floor (onsite if needed).
• First Aid training required prior to starting.
• Food Handler's Card required within first two weeks of hire.
• ACCR credential must be applied for within 30 days; may work while pending with DOH timelines.

Responsibilities

• Support the unit with excellent patient service and clinic management assistance.
• Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, front office staff and clinic management for outcomes.
• Perform varied functions with specialized knowledge and integration of standards and data.
• Advocate for ethical, holistic care respecting diverse backgrounds.
• Maintain safe environment; observe, document patient behavior and report unsafe conditions.
• Provide and document interventions in modalities matched to patient needs.
