Job summary

Navos Behavioral Health, part of MultiCare Health System, seeks a Mental Health Technician (MHT) to support inpatient psychiatry. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to provide safe, therapeutic care and assist with basic patient needs in a high-demand environment.

The role requires a relevant bachelor’s degree, CNA certification, and active BLS; CPR/First Aid and ACCR processes may be required, with potential campus-specific provisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or human services.
• Must obtain CNA before start date.
• BLS certification required; CPR/First Aid may be required depending on campus.
• Washington ACCR credential must be applied for within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for psychiatric patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and management to ensure outcomes.
• Observe and document patient behavior and assist with basic care tasks.
• Maintain a safe, hazard-free environment and document interventions.
