Job summary

The State of Oregon, through the Oregon Health Authority, invites applications for a Psychiatric Social Worker SR 33 at Oregon State Hospital in Salem. You will conduct biopsychosocial assessments, provide clinical interventions, and contribute to discharge planning in an inpatient setting.

Minimum qualifications include an MSW and an active LCSW or CSWA license in Oregon, with possible supervision and licensure support.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) required.
• Active Oregon LCSW license, or CSWA license, or submit license application by hire date.
• Experience with trauma-informed assessment and discharge planning is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing biopsychosocial assessments for inpatients.
• Prepare social work reports for Risk Review, PSRB, and partner agencies.
• Provide weekly or monthly patient support and update treatment plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team on level of care and transition readiness.
• Prepare for and participate in court hearings when requested.
• Lead recovery-oriented groups and discharge planning tailored to community resources.
