Job summary

Jobtome is seeking an RN for the UPC Inpatient Adult Services department in Albuquerque, NM. The role involves direct nursing care across age groups, applying the nursing process, and providing clinical leadership to staff.

You will ensure compliance with hospital policies, document care plans, and collaborate with the healthcare team. The position includes responsibility for medication administration, patient safety, and mentorship of new personnel, with rotating shifts and PRN status.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients following the nursing process.
• Provide clinical leadership for other staff and promote a positive work environment.
• Ensure adherence to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to implement and document individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, including IV meds, following the Seven Rights and document findings.
• Assist with tests and procedures and obtain proper consent.
• Assist with emergency measures for sudden patient changes.
• Deliver safe direct care to assigned patient groups including age-specific considerations.
• Maintain accurate patient medical records and respond to inquiries per policy.
• Participate in orientation and, after preceptor training, supervise new staff.
