Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care within an inpatient psychiatric setting. The role emphasizes medical management, patient assessment, safety, and crisis response across a diverse patient population.

You will implement behavior management plans, assign tasks to subordinates, and train staff, patients, and families while maintaining accurate nursing documentation and contributing to the master treatment plan.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Preferred: inpatient psychiatric experience with adults, adolescents and/or children.
• Current North Carolina State Registered Nurse License, CPR Certification, CPI Certification and a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as prescribed by the physician and treatment team.
• Provide medical management and assessment of patients.
• Ensure environmental safety and crisis management for the patient population.
• Direct the implementation of behavior management programs/plans and ensure carry-through.
• Make patient and task assignments to subordinates and monitor performance of duties.
• Provide training and education to staff, patients, families, and others.
• Document patient care and ensure data is accurate and included in the master treatment plan via timely nursing care plan updates.
• Work with the treatment team to provide a consistently therapeutic milieu.
