University Behavioral Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, located in Orlando, Florida, is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse (RN) to provide inpatient mental health care for children, adolescents, and adults. The role requires an active Florida nursing license with experience in psychiatric settings and involves 12-hour shifts with day or night options and rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice nursing in the State of Florida (or eligible to receive or renew).
• Current CPR or BLS certification.
• Preferred one year of experience in a psychiatric inpatient setting with patients aged 5-65+.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatment.
• Provide therapeutic interventions, including crisis intervention and supportive counseling.
• Perform physical examinations and vital signs monitoring as required.
• Engage in patient education regarding mental health conditions and treatment options.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
