Job summary

The Physician Assistant will work with the collaborating physician in an active inpatient practice to deliver health care services to our patients. The PA shall consult with the collaborating physician by telecommunication or in person as needed.

In the absence of the designated collaborating physician, another physician shall be available for consultation. Location: Advocate Christ Medical Center, Oak Lawn, IL.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school.
• Current IL PA license.
• Two years’ experience, preferably in an infectious disease field.
• Proof of current vaccinations for healthcare workers.

Responsibilities

• Work with the collaborating physician in inpatient and outpatient practice to deliver care.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic health problems.
• Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic treatment as delegated.
• Monitor effectiveness of interventions.
• Order, interpret, and perform labs and radiology tests.
• Prescribe medications, including CS as delegated.
• Perform other therapeutic or corrective measures as indicated.
