Job summary

You will deliver evidence‑based care, promote prevention, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant
• Active PA license(s) in states of practice
• Active PA national board certification (NCCPA)
• Active DEA registration prior to hire
• Illinois Controlled Substance License prior to hire (if Illinois practice)
• BLS and/or ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by clinical practice before/within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Assesses, diagnoses, and determines treatment plans appropriate for age and clinical condition.
• Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic studies and prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions.
• Manages conditions based on clinical indication, evidence-based care, and risk/benefit analysis.
• Provides health promotion, disease prevention, and disease management counseling.
• Works with an interdisciplinary team and refers as needed; escalates when necessary.
• Maintains accurate EMR documentation and compliant coding/billing.
• Facilitates coordinated care and communication among healthcare team and community agencies.
• Performs office/hospital procedures per privileges (where applicable).
• Participates in quality, safety, and peer review initiatives and education of new staff.
