Job summary

Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, IL seeks a Physician Assistant to collaborate with a physician in an active inpatient and outpatient practice. Responsibilities include diagnosis, treatment, and management of health problems, ordering tests, and prescribing medications as delegated.

The role requires two years of experience (preferably in infectious disease), graduation from an accredited program, and an active IL PA license.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school.
• Current IL PA license.
• Two years’ experience, preferably in an infectious disease field.
• Vaccinations up to date, including boosters commonly required for immunocompromised patients.

Responsibilities

• Work with the collaborating physician in an inpatient and outpatient practice to deliver health care.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic health problems.
• Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic treatments.
• Monitor the effectiveness of interventions.
• Order, interpret, and perform laboratory and radiology tests.
• Prescribe medications, including controlled substances, as delegated.
• Perform other therapeutic or corrective measures as indicated.
